Why Choose Polyester?

Polyester is a common material found in many fabrics, including both clothes and furniture.  The outstanding thing about polyester is its durability.  Polyester shades are resistant against children stretching them to look outside, pets scratching them to bark at the mail carrier and wine stains from your last cocktail party.  They are able to be washed and dried quickly, and keep your house energy efficient.

Meet Designer Linda

Linda has been with Sunshine for 22 years.  Style, color and impact are what motivates Linda’s inner-decorator.  She loves beautiful fabrics and textures which create fashionable draperies and top treatments.  Linda is always aware of her client’s needs and concerns to create a beautiful look. In this industry, there is always something new and fresh.  Colors and styles are changing constantly keeping her job so exciting.

Customer Rhonda F. says, “Linda always knows the right fabric and the right style.  She made the decorating process so easy!  And Mike, my installer from Sunshine, was great as well!  Linda and Mike worked well together and they were always on the same page.”

Customer Dorothy M. says, “Linda was my designer for my first house and was wonderful!  Linda was very sensitive to my needs, including my point-of-view and fabric and drapery style.   When I moved into my second home and my condo, I turned to Linda and Sunshine Drapery.  The finished product is beautiful!”

Redecorating 101

Redecorating a room or house sounds daring and intimidating.  Turns out, it’s not as scary as it may seem.  There are a few decorating basics to keep in mind, and if you follow these guidelines, you will be on a stress-free ride to a newly decorated room.

The feel of the room: The feeling you want the room to give you when you are in it is the most important part of the redecorating decision.  Do you want to feel happy? If so, pick a bright, vibrant color scheme.  Do you want to feel calm? If so, pick tranquil, natural colors.

The purpose of the room: The purpose of the room is as important as the feeling.  Is the room an office where you can focus on work?  Is the room specifically tailored to be just a sitting room for conversation?  Having a purpose allows you to concentrate on exactly how you want the space to look.

The objects you want in the room: Do you have a painting or sculpture you would like to keep in the room?  If so, design your room around a color in the piece of artwork.

See? Redecorating can be easy.  With these simple guidelines, you can have a beautiful house to fit your mood, purpose and design.
