We are often asked if it would be possible to add motorization to existing blinds or shades. In short the answer is usually, yes. Of course, this will depend on the brand, age and condition of the blind or shade. If you have recent versions of recognized name-brand window treatments, upgrading to motorization may be a very good option for you.
There are many reasons you may want to update your window treatments to a motorized version. If you have young children or pets around your house, products that are operated with cords can pose a safety risk.
