Jason and Taira say that their passion for Sunshine began the moment they recognized the incredible culture and business model that the previous owner, Bruce Bernstein, had built over his 27 years with the company. The company's stable operations and talented management team were so impressive that the transition was seamless, allowing for a smooth and swift change in leadership. The inspiration for this venture is deeply personal. For Jason and Taira, the brand's strength, reputation, and the passion of the team were undeniable. With their four children, ranging from 8 to 21, they are passionate about being good role models and showing them what it looks like to take risks and chase your dreams.

Meet Our New Owner, Jason Price

Jason brings a wealth of experience to this new role. While he may not have extensive window treatment experience, his background is in building and growing successful businesses. He's a St. Louis native who built a successful career in commercial construction management and corporate real estate before leading his family's six-decade-old business, HTE Technologies, to exponential growth. Now, he's eager to return to a smaller business setting where he can focus directly on the team and make a tangible impact. He sees his role as the builder, bringing profit and new opportunities to the business, while our team of textile experts continues to work their magic.

When not building a business, Jason and his family love spending time outdoors, from fishing and hiking on their farm in Steelville to traveling to national parks. He and Taira also love to attend live music concerts, often with their kids in tow. It is this same down-to-earth, family-first approach that Jason plans to bring to Sunshine, ensuring that the business provides a fulfilling and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
